This is why we love
what we do

This is why we love what we do

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mari and Kumi during the production of Wolfenstein The New Order and Wolfenstein The New Colossus. I was never worried we wouldn’t bring back excellent performance, even if shooting in LA for me, is far from home and without a safety net. By that I mean there is no one to call for help when you for whatever reason end up in deep waters. Both Mari and Kumi was a big part of that feeling of being safe and when working so close during long periods of time you become family. They are both very professional and gets the job done.

Henrik Håkansson

Animation Director, Machine Games

“Working with Kumi & Mari is a no-brainer! You feel taken care of through the whole creative process of what you’re creating with them and they are there to help and support you on every level. Their experience and knowledge lets you know you’re covered in all aspects of production. Their professionalism lets you know things will get done. Their personalities let you know you’ll have a safe, creative, fun time working with them.”
Richard Dorton

Creative Director, the Mocap Vaults

I’ve worked with Mari and Kumi for many years on some of my favorite AAA games. They are the ultimate package. Mari and Kumi handle international clients with grace and sensitivity, understand how to work with actors and directors, and their combined producing skills put them among the top performance capture teams I’ve had the pleasure to work with in the world today.
Tom Keegan

Cinematic Director / Voice Over Director

Kumi and Mari lead motion capture shoots that reflect and respect creators’ ideas and needs with great care and support.  I’ve witnessed their precise direction and  joyful personality on my mocap shoot, and was able to complete the project with the feeling of all the creators working as a team.
Their ability to shoot remotely and capacity to be mobile is their strength.  To be able to experience LA’s top mocap service while in Japan is a great asset to have, especially in this Post-Covid era where a lot of shoots are done remotely.  I can assure you that Kumi and Mari, with their diverse knowledge and experiences, will provide services that are creative and satisfactory.”
Ikumi Nakamura

Game Director

“I’ve spent years with Mari and Kumi in the recording studio and on the performance capture stage, working on numerous productions, from Devil May Cry to Resident Evil, and they are consistently excellent. Every aspect of production was handled with attention and care and they are always a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend them enough.”

Liam O’Brien

Producer and Voice Director, Critical Role

“I worked with Mari and Kumiko on dozens of motion capture productions for nearly 10 years. I have high respect for their level of professionalism and set etiquette. They consistently to go above and beyond to ensure the quality of their work and have been my ‘go to’ people on all past projects. They are a pleasure to work with and I look forward to any future projects together”

Michael Iguidez

Senior Acquisition Specialist Motion Capture Department, Electronic Arts

“I’ve been working with Pivot Motion, Inc. for several years, mainly for English narration voice over for VR projects dealing with Japanese Important Cultural Properties. They take care the whole process from translation and localization from Japanese script to English, casting, securing the recording studio, vo direction to audio mixing. These tasks would be extremely hard for someone like me who’s operating from Japan, but they make it possible.
I believe building trust is the hardest yet the most valuable quality, and I definitely see that in Pivot Motion.”

Producer, Taiyo Kikaku
